Fun at Home Depot...

So yesterday was the monthly Kids Workshop at Home Depot, and this time the project was building little fire trucks.. how fun! Or so we thought, and off we went with both kids in tow. Needless to say, Daddy made a very nice firetruck and Olivia and Jackson had a good time chasing each other around, with Mom chasing after them. Jackson managed to hammer in a total of about 2 nails and smear on some paint. Olivia had absolutely zero interest in building anything but did manage to win a pumpkin in the raffle!

Being 3???

So....here goes, my first entry. Just had a fantastic day of fantasy football losing in the first week of the year. Being down most of the last two hours, Jackson comes to me with his collection of underwear after waking from a nap in wet shorts and underwear. I could not help but reflect on the days when I was his age. Picking out underwear at 3 years old is one of the most exciting and important decisions in a little boy's life. Is it going to be The Power Rangers, what about Diego, or Wall-E, or Buzz Light-Year, maybe Thomas....no not on this day, today is a Lighting McQueen Day! Now to go show off the pic of Lighting on my rear-end to my little sis. It's these types of little things that can always bring a smile to a grumpy dad's face even after losing their fantasy football game!

After Rick and I ran the 1/2 marathon, we were crazy and decided to take Patty and the kids down to SeaWorld. Nothing like walking a few miles when your feet and knees are throbbing! =) Nevertheless, we had a good time and here are a few pics...

So "Ama" Patty came to visit over Labor Day weekend, and what could be more fun than taking her to breakfast with Goofy and friends at the Disneyland Hotel and then off for a fun-filled day at Disneyland and California Adventure?!? Here are some pics from our fun day. By the way, Jackson still is not a fan of the princesses and hides when they come to our table! Keep this up, Jackson! There is no need for girlfriends for a very very VERY long time!

We joined the Wood's and the Diaz's for a day of fun in the sun at the Wood's neighborhood waterpark. The kids had a blast, and Olivia actually enjoyed playing in the water for once!
